Aims and Objectives

Guru Nanak Academy aims to impart to its students liberal and balanced education on modern lines so as to inspire the students to become worthy of the rich cultural heritage of India.

The School runs without any distinction of race, creed, caste or social status expecting to inspire students to develop in an atmosphere of Indian tradition, culture and social environments, Guru Nanak Academy expects to imbibe in students the best features of Public Schools such as discipline, spirit-de-corps, Character building, physical development, spirit of chivalry, fair play and straight forwardness.

In concordance with the above the Academy employs a fleets of most qualified and trained teachers headed by a highly qualified Principal who may further inspire the students not only to acquire academic prowess but also to lead noble lives, lovingly serve their country and inculcate a sense of pride in their abilities and achievements.

The first Principal of GNA was Lt.Col.(Retd.) Van.Goldstein. He was succeeded by Wing Cdr.(Retd.) Jaimal Singh in 1972. Mr. S. N. Kaul took over the Principal’s Office in May 1977. Since the 15th of August 1994. Mr. P. S. Kalra. is at the helm of GNA as Principal. He achieved degrees B.A. Hons & M.A., from St. Stephens College Delhi and his 32 years’ experience includes an eight year stint in Multinational Schools in Dubai and the UAE.

Audio visual aids are a common teaching feature in School. He has inducted new teaching methods and GNA is on to the path of Information Technology at school level. The administrative staff and the support staff keep the large campus immaculately spic and span.
